In the early 1920’s the railway from Bangkok connected south to Hua Hin. Due to that the opening of the landmark colonial-style Railway Hotel soon followed. This made it convenient for the royal family and Bangkokians to travel to Hua Hin easily. As a result Hua Hin became the top holiday destination among the Thai people. Now Hua Hin accommodates foreign and Thai visitors with its popular beaches, world class golf courses, numerous five star hotels, resorts and spas.

Many of well known high quality hotels chains (Centara, Hilton, Intercontinental, etc) and a huge number of boutique hotels have a branch here in Hua Hin. Guesthouses and beach resorts in Hua Hin appears readily available, but be sure to book in advance for high season (October-March) and any holiday periods (Songkran, His Majesty the King’s Birthday, etc) because the town gets very busy. Thai and foreign visitors are coming a lot then. Both, the traveler on a budget and as well the more wealthy travelers will find the right place to stay. Therefore it’s actually this mix of visitors that give a good balance to Hua Hin.
